Ain't the Farmin' Life Grand?

This farm off the beaten path is loaded with personality, pizazz and promise. It was a perfect 70 degree day under a sunny blue sky with balmy breezes keeping us cool. No, it's not an island but it felt like it at times. Sitting in the sun and contemplating the next move was the main agenda. This thought process usually involved who was getting up to get another cold drink from the fridge. Great tunes blasted from the speakers and nary a care in the world. It should have been a commercial. It was perfect.

A small tribute to the man of music who had a talent that was larger than life and like no other. He left us great music and for that we celebrate. "Black and White" is one my MJ favorites and especially when you can watch Orianthi rock the guitar like no white girl ever has before. The message is great and it shouldn't matter whether you are black or white.

Just one more - One Love

Call it random and rambling musing, but I'm in a music mood these days. It ails what hurts the soul and sure helps set a great mood while writing and thinking about life. To me this song has a good message, so bear with me and I will get back to other blog writing soon. Enjoy Bono and Mary J. Blige. A great combo.

Who doesn't love this song? Yes, I'm still on a memory lane kick. Don't ask why, just having fun. But, I love these lyrics because they have real meaning. "I'm in you and you are in me. I don't care where I go when I'm with you." - Don't you feel it?

Let's get together and let there be one love! This should be the international song for peace.

Frampton Comes Alive

I went down memory lane this week thanks to my memoir writing class. I reflected back to high school and the glory days of the 70s. Of course, that led me back to my favorite musician of all time, Peter Frampton. His music was the backdrop for some of the best times of my life and especially the summer at the beach with Denise and two local beach guys. We watched the sun come up listening to Peter Frampton's Live album. It was a crowning moment, never to be repeated. Here's to the man who made a guitar sing and still does. Listen and enjoy.
